Book Review: Dark Kiss by Michelle Rowen

Genre: Young Adult (Paranormal/Fantasy Romance)

Dark Kiss is the first novel in the Nightwatchers series by Michelle Rowen. Samantha finally gets kissed by her long time crush at a night club, but it changes her. Though she was all to eager to kiss him, she feels like something has been taken against her will. Then she meets Bishop, lost and delirious, on the side of the road. Soon an unlikely team of angels and demons comes together for the greater good. When angels and demons are working together, their common enemy must be something horrible. Bishop is hiding a secret. Perhaps, many secrets. Could he also be hiding a secret that would help Samantha?

Dark Kiss was a growing addiction. The more I read, the more I needed to read. Now that its ended, I'm having withdrawls. With the twists and turns of danger, suspense, and romance, there wasn't a dull moment through the whole story. The romance was full of anticipation which pumped up the intensity. I sense a love triangle in the making. Michelle Rowen wonderfully brought her world of good and evil to life, complete with a few "gray" areas. Dark Kiss will be released May 22, 2012.
