Review Policy

*Note: My review schedule is currently very booked. Scroll to the bottom for my tentative reading schedule. Unfortunately, as a result, I'm accepting very few new books to review at this time. Thank you for understanding.

The only thing better than reading a really great book is sharing it with others. For this reason, I'm more than happy to receive review requests and review copies from authors and publishers.

Thank you for considering me to review your book!

Genres I Review
I enjoy reading most types of Young Adult Fiction and New Adult Fiction, but I like variety, so as long as it has some Romance, I am open to reviewing most forms of fiction. Please no self-help or non-fiction!

Some of the books I review have a little naughty-ness in them. Some have more than a little and may not be suitable for younger readers. Everyone's opinion on what's appropriate for certain age groups is different. For the purposes of this blog, I think it's safe to go under the assumption that Adult Fiction is suitable for ages 18 and up, New Adult is 17 and up, and Young Adult is good for everyone for the most part. Obviously this isn't a concrete method, but it's easier than trying to guess what everyone will be okay with. Please use your own discretion. (April 25, 2014)

Accepted Formats
ePub, PDF, paperback, and/or hardback.

The Reviews

All book reviews will be posted in full on this blog with a shortened version also posted on Goodreads. I post links on the What's Beyond Forks? Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest pages as well. By request I will also post the shortened version of the review at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or wherever else you would like it posted.

Guest Posts and Interviews
I love to help get the word out about books in any way I can. Please let me know if you are interested in a Guest Post or Author Interview.

My Opinion
Book reviews are something I do for fun. Good or bad, my reviews ALWAYS contain my honest opinion. I fully understand how much hard work, blood, sweat, and tears goes into writing a book. If I happen to read a book that is not to my liking, I will review it with that in mind. I won't guarantee a positive review, but I always try to find positive things about every book. Just because it may not be my cup of tea, doesn't mean there aren't others out there that will love it.

Your Books are Safe with Me
I never sell books that I receive for review. Once I am done, I may hold a giveaway, keep it for my personal library, or pass them on to family or friends who I think would enjoy them, unless you specify otherwise. I'm a self proclaimed book hoarder, so the likelihood of your book ever leaving me is pretty slim.

Time Frame
Since this is something I do for fun. If you send me a book to review, I will do my best to make sure it gets read and reviewed as soon as possible. Sometimes, life gets in the way, and I can't read through books as quickly as I'd like. I try to post reviews of all the books that I receive, but I reserve the right not to review a book. I also reserve the right to not post a review if after I've read the book, I feel it's not a good fit for my blog. I apologize in advance if your book doesn't get reviewed. (ARCs receive priority.) A tentative schedule is posted at the bottom of this page.

Giveaways
I will happily host a giveaway or contest at the request of an author, publisher, etc. Please note that in these cases, I do not ship to winners. Please, do not send me an extra copy for a giveaway. I will provide you with the winner’s shipping information at the end of the giveaway.

Giveaway Policy for the Readers
I love to have giveaways from time to time. The giveaways are provided by authors, publishers, agents, tour companies, or myself. Winners of giveaways provided by authors, publishers, agents, or tour companies will get a notification from me, then the giveaway provider will assume the responsibility of getting your prize(s) to you. We may end or extend any giveaway without notice. Entrants that don't follow the rules stated with each giveaway will be disqualified. Winners will have 48 hours(unless otherwise stated) to respond to my email before I will pick a new winner. What's Beyond Forks? is not responsible for any lost or damaged packages.

Would you like your book reviewed?
If you are an author or publisher who would like me to review a book, send me a request with the information for the book you want reviewed, author information, as well as any other relevant websites. I enjoy guest bloggers and interviews. Independent authors and publishers are always welcome! I love reading and helping to promote new books and authors. I hate spoilers. You will never find spoilers in my reviews. For that reason, my reviews tend to be shorter than most you find out there. Contact Me

*I may not respond to every review request I receive. I'm very sorry. It probably means my reading schedule is full for the next few months, and I'm lost in a pile of books somewhere.

FTC Disclaimer
In accordance with FTC guidelines regarding book reviews for bloggers, I would like my readers to know that some of the books I review on my site are provided to me for free by the publisher or author of the book in exchange for an honest review. Whenever this is the case, I will specify in the review for that book. I don't receive money for such reviews from authors, agents, or publishers. If I have won the book through a blog hop, contest, or other type of giveaway, I will specify that on the blog review, because sometimes that information can help in promoting an author and their book(s). I am associated with Amazon.com and I do receive a small commission if you purchase a product following my amazon links.

Tentative Reading Schedule
The Schedule below is a tentative schedule as to when I'll have books read by. Keep in mind, this is an estimation only. If I finish books faster or slower as time goes on, I'll adjust the calendar accordingly. Reviews should be posted no later than 2 days after I've finished reading the book, unless the review is in conjunction with a tour or prior arrangements have been made with the author, publisher, etc. *Remember: To avoid confusion, I only add a book to my schedule once I have received it.
