Release Day Book Review! Ringer by C.J. Duggan

Ringer (Summer #3.5) by C.J. Duggan
Genre: New Adult (Contemporary Romance)
Date Published: March 18, 2014
Publisher: Self

They say it’s the quiet ones you have to worry about, and she was quiet, very quiet—when she wasn’t busy despising me with a burning passion.

Ringo ‘Ringer’ James has a no-strings-attached policy.

Love them, leave them, and remain the eternal bachelor.

After a summer in which every one of his mates has succumbed to settling down, or so it seemed, Ringer is on the lookout for a quick exit. Having had enough of the stomach-turning love fest witnessed over the past three months, Ringer jumps at the opportunity to help out his mate, Max, by heading to Max’s dad’s property for a working holiday.

It’s just what he’s looking for. A remote, dusty homestead in Ballan, with only hard work, a cold beer and a comfy bed to worry about – no women.

Until Miranda Henry.

The privately educated daughter of his boss has returned home from overseas and things are about to get very complicated, very fast. As summer draws to its end, Ringer is about to learn that sometimes attraction defies all logic, and that there really is such a thing as ‘enemies with benefits.’

Ringer is a novella in the Summer Series by C.J. Duggan. There isn't an Onslow boy I've met yet that I didn't like, so I shouldn't have been surprised that I liked Ringer so much too. He's a big ole player, but he's got another side to him too. I don't think he knew about this side either. He even made my belly flip a little too. Not to the extent that Sean did, but there was still some definite butterfly action(Especially the mirror scene. Whew! You'll have to read it.) I love this love/hate relationship Ringer and Miranda had together. They are perfect for each other. They are alike in some ways and complete opposites in others. I felt like they really complemented each other. Plus, their many shenanigans made it so darn fun to read about. Once I started, I didn't put it down until I was finished. I love this series! I'm hopelessly hooked on the Onslow boys!

The ARC of Ringer by C.J. Duggan was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.
