Book Review: Savor by Megan Duncan

Genre: Young Adult (Paranormal Romance)
Published: September 28, 2011
Publisher: Self

The Blurb:
When Claire Miller turned eighteen all she wanted to do was celebrate her birthday, but after a night on the town with her best friend she awakes to a visitor she never expected. The rulers of her region, a vampire royal family, have chosen her to be turned as their new heir and vampire princess. Claire quickly discovers the royal family is not what they seem and that she has secrets in her past, she never knew existed.

My Review:
Savor is the first book in the Warm Delicacy Series by Megan Duncan. This book was completely engrossing. Sure, it started off a little slow as you are getting introduced to Claire and her world, but when it gets going, it really goes! The vampires are royalty. The ceremonies and traditions of the vampire royalty were different, and I found them interesting. I enjoyed all the characters tremendously. Claire's new friend, Robin, is a hoot. When it comes to love interests for Claire, I completely fell for Dmitry. Then Arrick enters the scene and ...swoon!! I couldn't tell you which one I like best. They both are completely different and completely wonderful. There were twists and turns and the ending was completely unexpected! Just when you think there couldn't possibly be anything new added to the world of vampire books, here comes Savor by Megan Duncan to prove me wrong.
