Book Review: Impulsion by Jamie Magee

Impulsion (Station 32 #1) by Jamie Magee
Genre: New Adult (Contemporary Romance)
Date Published: May 19, 2014
Publisher: Self

With a glance Wyatt Doran stole Harley Tatum’s heart. With each summer that passed, touch by touch, they robbed each other’s innocence, birthing a love that was so deep that it scorched within. Without warning, they were ripped from the clutches of each other, placed in lives that were worlds apart. Only to cross paths after a freak accident where Harley’s horse rig was flipped. An accident that Wyatt Doran, from fire station 32, responded.
The tension was immediate, the emotions were raw. One breath told them they were not the same as before, one touch…changed their world.

Impulsion by Jamie Magee is the first book in the Station 32 series.  It was love at first sight for Harley and Wyatt. Their romance as teenagers was something they tried to hide from everyone. Well, almost everyone. They hid because Harley's mom wanted to be a complete puppet master of her life. She is a brutal B of a woman. It was fun vicariously sneaking around with Harley and Wyatt though. Things happen and they are separated. Once they see each other again, there are many hurt feelings and misunderstandings, but they never stopped loving each other. This isn't just puppy love, but Harley needs to grow up and by grow up, I mean she needs to stop letting her wicked witch of a mother run her life. Whether they're teens or adults, the emotions are high. You can feel them ink off the pages as you read, and it really pulls you into their story.
