Forged in Ice is the second book in the Forged Chronicles by Alyssa Rose Ivy. This is a series you must read in order. Preferably, read the Afterglow Trilogy first as well, so you can get the full introduction to Energo and some of these characters. This author never ceases to amaze me. She is merging the worlds from her other books not within this series, and I'm loving it. You don't have to read those other books to know what's going on, but I highly recommend them. All of them. It's an addiction. *wink*

In Forged in Ice, James is keeping a pretty big secret. The darkness is creeping in, both mentally and in the physical world. How is this possible with James' dad being dead?? I'm not telling. I don't fully understand it yet myself, but it really has me intrigued. The characters go on a journey where we get to meet some new faces and some familiar faces(from other series), and it ends with me completely on edge and wanting to know what happens next.
