Sold by Clarissa Wild is the first book in the Dark Mafia Romance duology. I'll start with what I didn't like, because I hate that part of writing reviews, but I feel it needs to be said. Maybe it's just me, but I don't care how much she enjoyed it after he was done, if she didn't consent in the beginning, that’s not okay. That happened more than once, and I get it's fantasy, but even in fiction that's not something I'm okay with. Also, she really needs to get her money back from all those self defense courses she took.

Okay now, so on with the good. Leaving the bedroom out of the equation, I enjoyed Marcello and Harper as characters. Marcello was a believable mafia dude.  He took quite a bit longer to like, but he grew on me. He had those onion ogre layers. I really enjoyed the mystery around Harper. You find out things about her history that even she knew nothing about.
