Release Day Review! Secret Santa by Noelle Adams

Secret Santa (Milford College #4) by Noelle Adams
Genre: Adult Fiction (Contemporary Romance)
Date Published: December 11, 2019
Publisher: Self

The last thing I want for Christmas is a brand new case of smoking hot attraction for my best friend, Jeremy. I don't think about him that way. I never have. And I can't risk ruining the best relationship in my life because I can't seem to keep my hands off him lately.

I need to focus on safer things, like my secret admirer who keeps sending me romantic Secret Santa presents. Jeremy has always been a grump about Christmas, but someone is clearly into me. I'll have to try to think about him instead.

Secret Santa is the fourth book in the Milford College series, novellas about the faculty and staff of a small liberal arts college.

Secret Santa is the fourth book in the Milford College series by Noelle Adams. Well, I guess I'm just going to read all the books by this author out of order. That's just how it's been working out, and that's completely okay, because they stand alone just fine. This one was a delicious friends to more story. May and Jeremy have a beautiful friendship. They've known each other forever, and so when feelings start to grow, things get scary. The way this story plays out is very realistic. It's a scary thing to take a chance on any new relationship let alone one that involves a deep friendship that could potentially fall apart if things don't work out. So, I could completely relate to all of May's hesitations and tears. The girl cries more than I do. That's saying something! Jeremy is my newest book boyfriend. He has broody, allure down to a T. It felt like he had a literal presence whenever he was on the page. You could feel his intensity. I loved this one. It's a keeper, folks, and it's perfect for this time of year.

The ARC of Secret Santa by Noelle Adams was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

“I wouldn’t on purpose. But I honestly don’t know if I’m allowed to want what I want.”
My lips part. My fingers clench at the back of his neck. “Jeremy?” I whisper. “What do you want?”
A little voice inside me is screaming to run away from this because I know what’s about to happen and I know it will change everything and I don’t know if I’m ready for the change. But that voice is drowned out by everything else that is roaring inside me, frantically reaching out for Jeremy.
He makes a strange sound in his throat before his head tilts down toward mine. The distance closes between our mouths. I’m surrounded by the smell of him. His hands move too until he’s holding the small of my back.
He murmurs, “I want this.” Then his lips brush lightly against mine.
The surge of pleasure at the slightest touch of his mouth is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. It floods me. Consumes me. I whimper softly and grab for his head, stretching up to kiss him harder.
This is what has been brewing between us for a while now—shaking the foundations of my life. And now that it’s happening, I’m not about to let it go.
