The Ferryman + the Flame Tour! A Review of Lantern and Poison, Book 1.5, by Rhiannon Paille!

Genre: Young Adult (Fantasy)
Date Published: December 11, 2012
Publisher: Self

The Blurb:

This is SURRENDER from the villain's POV.

Hadwen is no more. The Daed have no choice but to travel to Avrigost to awaken Crestaos. They're thrown into a whirlwind quest for the Flames, not knowing how ruthless and sadistic Crestaos can be.

Meet Isadora The Iolite Flame, Lotesse The Emerald Flame, Cossisea The Ruby Flame, Shezeel The Quartz Flame and Tiki The Carnelian Flame in this novella that dives deeper into Kaliel and Krishani's nightmare.

My Review:
Lantern and Poison gives you a glimpse into Surrender from the villain's perspective. It also introduces you to the other Flames. This book helps you understand more about the villain, although I still don't understand why he's going through all this trouble. I get that he's power hungry, but I feel like there is more to it, and I'm not sure what that is yet. I pretty much have all the same "Why" questions that I had from book one. I'm hoping Justice, book two, will give me some answers. I enjoyed the Flames. I think they all would have some pretty interesting stories to tell.

Lantern and Poison was provided to me by the Xpresso Book Tours for review. The opinions are my own.
