Release Day Review! Unraveling the Truth About Love by Addison Cole

Unraveling the Truth About Love (Sweet with Heat: Weston Bradens #3)
by Addison Cole
Genre: Adult Fiction (Contemporary Romance)
Date Published: January 23, 2019
Publisher: World Literary Press

Discover the magic of the Bradens, and fall in love with Addison Cole's rich and romantic storytelling.

In Unraveling the Truth About Love…
Small-town overachiever Riley Banks has finally scored her big break--working in Manhattan as a fashion design assistant for her childhood crush, Josh Braden. She enters her new job hoping to make a name for herself and--just maybe--explore the romance that slipped through her fingers way back when.

Josh Braden has models at his beck and call, a staff that never says never, and an elegant clothing line for the holiday season. When he hires Riley Banks, he expects her to learn the business from the ground up. But the girl next door turns out to be much more than he remembered.

When Josh and Riley's friendship heats up, every steamy kiss, and every passionate caress stirs a love they cannot deny. But when Riley designs a wedding gown that would cause even the most jaded fashion editors to swoon, Riley's mentor accuses her of stealing the design.

Facing indisputable proof and the mistrust of her lover, Riley is not sure she can take the heat of life in the fast lane of the fashion industry--and Josh is forced to choose between the woman he loves and the career he adores.

****
Unraveling the Truth About Love is a Sweet with Heat novel and conveys all of the passion you'd expect to find between two people in love without any graphic scenes or harsh language. If you're looking for a more explicit romance, pick up the steamy edition, Friendship on Fire, written by New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster. Addison Cole is Melissa's sweet-romance pen name.

Unraveling the Truth About Love is the third book in the Sweet with Heat: Weston Bradens series by Addison Cole. The third one!! Which means I missed book two somehow!! Fortunately for me, you can read these books out of order. This is Josh and Riley's story. They knew each other growing up and have recently reunited as friends again. They've always been attracted to each other, and let me tell you, these two have some definite steamy, chemistry going on. I loved Riley as a character. She's not perfect, making her easy to relate to. Josh is pretty close to perfect, but he's flawed as well as you will see when you read their story. You'll hate Claudia, but she's fun to hate. Especially, when everything comes out. Books like this make me giddy.

The ARC of Unraveling the Truth About Love by Addison Cole was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

Teaser Blast! Tanner by Lauren Runow & Jeannine Colette

Tanner (Sexton Brothers #3) by Lauren Runow and Jeannine Colette
Genre: Adult Fiction (Contemporary Romance)
Expected publication: January 2019
Publisher: Self

“A kiss was all I needed.”
“Looks like you got what you wished for.”
“Yes. About that…”

I was supposed to find a finely dressed businessman, have a one-night stand and forget about my failed relationship. Instead, I meet Tanner Sexton—a gorgeous man in street clothes, messy hair and the sexiest smile I’ve ever seen.

When my ex shows up at the bar, Tanner notices my panic and kisses me just so the prick can see. Then he takes off, leaving me breathless.

So, I do what any rational person would. I chase after him onto the subway, and embark on a wild night in New York City with a complete stranger.

No matter how much I fight it, this mysterious artist painted his soul onto my skin, and I haven’t been able to forget him. Our romance is one for the ages, but age isn’t the only thing standing in our way.

Cover Reveal! Immerse by Tobie Easton

Immerse (Mer Chronicles #3) by Tobie Easton
Genre: Young Adult (Fantasy Romance)
Expected Publication: March 19, 2019
Publisher: Month9Books, LLC

Immerse is the spellbinding and breathless final installment of the Mer Chronicles series where descendants of the Little Mermaid must face deadly magic, shifting alliances, and the dangers of forbidden love.

Lia can’t wait for her parents’ coronation. Now living in the sparkling palace beneath the waves, she sneaks off to Malibu whenever possible to see Clay. Tucked away in an abandoned seaside mansion, Lia and Clay devise a plan to ensure they can stay together forever.

But when an old enemy resurfaces and Lia is restricted to the palace for the safety of all Merkind, she and Clay are ripped apart once more.

She fears not only for Clay, but for her best friend Caspian, who seems to be swimming down a dangerous path. He has invited the conniving Melusine to the coronation ball, convinced she’s capable of change. And no matter how hard Lia fights it, showing up on Caspian’s arm is just the start of Melusine’s insidious return to her life.

With threats Below growing more ominous by the day and a powerful ancient ritual looming, soon the two girls can’t escape each other. As their fates grow increasingly intertwined, Melusine might be the only one who can help Lia find the answers she desperately needs to save everyone she loves and to achieve her happily ever after. But can Lia trust her?

I wish Clay were here to see this. The thought flits through my mind again and again. When my family and I swim through the sparkling entrance of the palace, I wish I could grab his hand. As we’re greeted by hundreds of nobles swishing their tails in applause, I imagine the excited words he’d whisper in my ear. And as we start down the center aisle toward the thrones at the other end of the cavernous chamber, I yearn to show him how beautifully this room has been restored since he and I were last here.
Approaching the thrones, we process over an exquisite mosaic made up of abalone, mother of pearl, and troca shell pieces. It takes everything in me to keep my face neutral, to keep my head lifted and my sunbeam crown upright. This is the spot where, not so long ago, Clay risked his life to save mine. I glance around me at the splendor and the celebration. Clay’s sacrifice made today possible, and he’s not even here to see it.

Book Review: Bryce by Lauren Runow and Jeannine Colette

Bryce (Sexton Brothers #2) by Lauren Runow and Jeannine Colette
Genre: Adult Fiction (Contemporary Romance)
Expected publication: November 15, 2018
Publisher: Self

“Truth or dare?”
“I’ll take your dare.”
“Kiss me.”

I don’t believe in Prince Charming, but when I met a handsome stranger on a rooftop his words intrigued me and his dares left nothing but temptation.

Then I learned the truth.

His name is Bryce Sexton. Media mogul, workaholic and a heart of stone. He’s broody AF and yet every woman in San Francisco wants him.

So why won’t he leave me alone?

Wherever I go, he’s there, trying to force his way into my world. What he doesn’t know is I already have a man in my life. A tiny redhead who loves Legos and Superheroes.

With every push, Bryce pulls me in further. Our pasts are laced with betrayal. Our futures are unpredictable. Our chemistry is explosive.

With each dare I uncover a truth, but he's exactly what I don’t need right now.

So why did I have to go and kiss him?

Bryce is the second book in the Sexton Brothers series by Lauren Runow and Jeannine Colette. We got to see a bit of Bryce in Austin, and that peaked my curiosity of him, and he didn't let me down. Tessa and her son were good fro him too. They seemed to all fit. I loved how Bryce really paid attention to the little things. I also loved his grumpy ways at work. It was actually cute. Especially when Jalynn worked her magic on him. It was nice to see those moments that were hinted at in the first book. Speaking of hints, there's something more going on with Missy and Bryce's father. What is it? I need to know these things. It has me anxious for the next book. As if I needed more incentive. I'm super excited to get to know Tanner!
