Working It Out Blog Tour! Review & Excerpt!

Working it Out by Rachael Anderson
Genre: Adult Fiction (Contemporary Romance)
Date Published: July 15, 2013
Publisher: HEC Publishing

The Blurb:
A chance encounter . . .
Grace Warren's life is safe and predictable—exactly the way she likes it. But when she gets roped into going to an auction to help out a friend, everything changes. She meets Seth Tuttle—a guy who unexpectedly kisses her then disappears, leaving her flustered and upset. If she never sees him again, it will be too soon.

A chance for love . . .
Weeks later, when Seth limps into Grace's rehab clinic post surgery, she immediately recognizes him. Unfortunately, he's every bit as frustrating and annoying as she remembered. Yet there's something about him that makes her second-guess her carefully placed boundaries even though he's everything she's sure she doesn't want in a man. But maybe Seth is exactly what Grace has needed all along—assuming she's willing to risk safe and predictable for a chance at love.

My Review:
Working it Out is another fun little romance by Rachael Anderson. This is the second book by Rachael Anderson that I've read, and I definitely want to read more. She tells such addictive and fun romances. Seth and Grace felt very real. I loved Seth's persistence in getting Grace's attention. It was pretty adorable. Grace was stubborn and smart. They were good together. Seth went a little overboard with his daredevil stunts. I like the outdoors, but I have to say, I would probably have gotten tired of it a lot sooner than Grace did. I was hoping he'd come to terms with some things while in physical therapy and not resort back to his daredevil ways. I loved reading their bantering. It was fun, and made for an enjoyable read.

Working it Out by Rachael Anderson was provided to me by the Book Blasts & Blog Tours for review. The opinions are my own.

The Excerpt:
“And listen," said Seth. "I’m sorry for not recognizing you, and for being such a—” He stopped as though unsure of which word to use.
“Such a what?” Grace said. “Egotistical jerk?”
“I wouldn’t go that far.”
Of course he wouldn’t, because a self-appointed god of chaos would never think of himself as egotistical. It wasn’t in his chemical makeup. “What would you call it then? You told me to outbid you then went ahead and outbid me, only to add insult to injury by forcing a kiss on me. Personally, I thought egotistical jerk was putting it nicely.”
“You didn’t exactly pull away,” Seth said. “At least not at first.”
“Because I was in shock.” Grace couldn’t believe she had to explain this. “Seriously, who kisses a complete stranger?”
“You said I needed to prove that I wasn’t gay.”
Unbelievable. He wasn’t even remotely sorry. “You couldn’t think of another way to do that?”
A cheeky smile appeared. “Another way wouldn’t have been nearly as fun.”

About the Author:
Rachael Anderson is the author of four books: Divinely Designed, Luck of the Draw, Minor Adjustments, and The Reluctant Bachelorette. She’s the mother of four and is pretty good at breaking up fights, or at least sending guilty parties to their rooms. She can’t sing, doesn’t dance, and despises tragedies. But she recently figured out how yeast works and can now make homemade bread, which she is really good at eating.
